November 17, 2006 was a remarkable day in Kenya and Tanzania! "Good Morning America's" expert panel declared the wild animal migration between the Maasai Mara plains in Kenya and Serengeti in Tanzania the seventh New Wonder of the World. More than 1 million wildebeests, half a million gazelles, and 200,000 zebras are constantly on the move in search of fresh pasture and water. This is one of the great wonders in terms of animal migrations. Since this usually happens between July and August of every year (animals are also aware of annual events), thousands of tourists gather around the Mara River to watch the animals as they cross in large herds, with young and old, strong and weak, fast and slow. It is an extra-ordinary undertaking that no nature-sentient individual would want to miss. Go Africa Safaris (www.goafricasafaris.com) is there to get you in there and come back with life-changing stories to tell. You still have 6 months to prepare for next year. Hope to see you there!!
